Is is the death of our civic life? Certainly it's tangible evidence of how BCR used the homophobia of the religious right to win this election.

The question for us: how do we achieve a resurrection?

The only encouraging aspect of this that I can point to: that Perlstein could write that at 3:35am Wed morning, with that kind of solid evidentiary detail; that the link to his article could arrive in my inbox Wed afternoon; and that I can spread it by posting it here.

One thing we can do is work to remedy the misinformation that's out there. As Johnee noted in his comment (go down to the bottom), we can't just send this stuff back and forth to each other. Somehow we've got to reach the people who buy into W's lies.
